the viral til death® band

The band we can't keep in stock. Handcrafted in solid gold or sterling silver, it comes in a range of widths and finishes, from polished metal to hand-applied enamel, all lettered “til death” in Old English script and inspired by Victorian mourning jewelry. Wear it your way, as a wedding band, a statement ring or an everyday staple.

how it all began

Jillian Sassone designed the Til Death band in 2021, and it’s still the one piece we can’t keep in stock. “I love the idea of ‘til death,’” she says. “It kind of feels a little rock and roll. It feels a little bit Victorian.”

During the Victorian era (1837 to 1901), mourning jewelry made with enamel, hair and onyx was worn as a symbol of remembrance and devotion. The Til Death band points that tradition at the living. Its words come from the vow “til death do us part,” and its enamel comes in black, white and cherry mocha, our own romantic yet gothic red.

The band first launched with our sister brand, Marrow Fine, and became its bestseller. “It’s so popular that we had to create a whole brand around it,” Jillian says. So she did: Til Death World, built with the same craftsmanship but moodier, bolder and a little rebellious. Today the Til Death ring is worn as a wedding band, a promise ring or a friendship ring. People also stack it with antique diamonds or a black onyx engagement ring.

Each band is handmade and built to last a lifetime. “I’ve collected enamel pieces from the Victorian era that have held up over 150 years, and they still look as good today as they did back then,” Jillian says. “That’s my hope with these pieces: that someday they’ll be a memory piece.”

Til Death® is a registered trademark, and Til Death World is the band’s only official maker. If it didn’t come from our website, our showrooms or our trunk shows, it isn’t the original.
